Jake Hughes won his second win in the final race of the season at the Yas Marina circuit.
Starting second having driven through the field from the pitlane to seventh yesterday, Hughes got through into the lead at the first corner and despite a brief challenge from Jack Aitken, had an easy run to victory.
Pole man Constantin Tereschenko moved straight across to block off Hughes at the start of the race, allowing Steijn Schothorst and Nirei Fukuzumi the best runs into the opening corner. But Fukuzumi ran wide on the inside, Hughes cut through the trio and into the lead, with Aitken following into second.
Hughes was then forced to defend along the back straight from Aitken, before the safety car was brought out after Alexander Albon slid into the barriers following contact with Tatiana Calderon.
Hughes then broke free of compatriot Aitken after the restart and extended his advantage out to over a second but Aitken was able to close back to the race leader in the middle of the race, Hughes then set about gradually adding to his advantage once again in the closing laps to finish a comfortable winner crossing the line nearly 3 seconds ahead of Aitken.
Fukuzumi claimed the final podium spot, preventing an all English Podium in the process as Jake Dennis launched a last lap attack
Alex Palou crossed the line fifth, holding onto the place ahead of Campos team-mates Tereschenko and Schothorst.
Having dropped to eighth on the opening lap, Tereschenko then provided the entertainment of the race two overtakes on Kevin Jorg and Schothorst
Behind Schothorst, Jorg held on to the final point ahead of champion Charles Leclerc, who had already won the championship yesterday despite retiring from the opening race.
