Racing dual campaigns was made possible this season as for Chilton there are no calendar clashes between the two series.
Chilton was quoted in saying “It’s going to be a busy year but I’m immensely proud and excited to be working with Sébastien Loeb Racing again in what is going to be a thrilling season” following the announcement he would remain with SLR in 2017.
Chilton finished eighth overall in the WTCC last season and returns to the BTCC for the first time since 2011 having last raced for Team AON in the Global Ford Focus, before switching to the WTCC in the same car.
