During the pre-season Qatar MotoGP test Ducati unveiled a radical new fairing design to compensate for the ban on aerodynamic winglets at the end of the 2016 season.
The fairing which was both tested by riders Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo is the most radical one to be unveiled, it shows the hard work Ducati have put in to get advantages from aerodynamics.
The fairing features a narrow central section combined with two outsize wings on either side, many people were calling it a Formula One style design.
Having been the first manufacturer to introduce winglets on their bikes in 2015 they were clearly disappointed to see winglets be banned, they have clearly put all their effort in to the new fairing to compensate from the loss of the winglets.
It is yet to be confirmed whether Ducati will race the fairing at Qatar or whether they will develop it further before using it in a race weekend.
