Kristoffersson Motorsport, the former works Audi and Volkswagon squad in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship, will return to the series this year for the first time since 2012.
The team bowed out of the championship after the organisers decided to remerge with the TTA Elite Championship, running Solution-F cars.
Since they now move to TCR rules for 2017 the 2012 champions are back with two Volkswagon Golfs and backing from Volkswagon Sweden for Johan Kristofferson and single seater exponent Fredrik Blomstedt.
Kristoffersson won the 2012 title with the family run team in a Volkswagon Scirrocco but will compete in only four events in 2017 due to WorldRX commitments with Blomstedt taking part in all seven rounds.
Although the championship doesn’t kick off until May this brings the total of entries so far up to twelve, already two more than last year.
This also includes the Honda Civic from Sportspromotion which has been sold to an as yet undisclosed team.
