Four times Champion, Scott Dixon, has become the eighth different winner this season at the Kohler Grand Prix in Road America, Wisconsin, holding off Penske’s Josef Newgarden by just 0.5779 seconds. This win marks Dixon’s and his team’s first since Watkins Glen last season.
Pole sitter, Helio Castroneves finished third, ahead of teammates, Pagenaud and Power in 4th and 5th respectively.
Honda powered drivers, Kimball, Jones, Rahal, Chilton and Aleshin occupied 6th to 10th in the order.
Sebastian Bourdais’ replacement, former Haas F1 and Sauber driver, Esteban Gutierrez, managed to hold onto 17th for Dale Coyne Racing
This win extends Dixon’s lead to 34 points over reigning Champion Simon Pagenaud while Helio Castroneves sits in 3rd 37 points behind Dixon.
In the manufacturers’ Championship Honda leads Chevrolet by 820 to 774 with 6 wins to 4.
