The British WRC team M-Sport confirmed that the 4-time World Champion Sebastien Ogier will be racing in their car next season. Naturally both sides were over the moon about the contract and M-Sport are sure to get a competitive team for 2017. Ogier and his co-driver Julien Ingrassia were left without a contract for 2017 after their current team Volkswagen announced they were pulling out of the World Rally Championship.
Better late than never
With only over a month to the 2017 season opener in Monte Carlo, it must be a relief for the French champion to confirm a seat. Especially as the other Volkswagen outcasts, Jari-Matti Latvala and Andreas Mikkelsen are still without a contract, although Latvala is expected to be confirmed by Toyota as their driver for 2017 this Tuesday. Ogier will drive for M-Sport alongside the 29-year-old Estonian Ott Tänak.
