Driver Feature: Brock McGregor

Brock McGregor may not be well known in the world of motor racing as it stands, but at just 17, there’s a great chance he will in the near future. Since the age of seven, Brock has been racing karts and moved into the Excel cup in the 2016 season, where, as a rookie, he ended the year in second place. This year, his eyes are on the title.
Saturday the 18th March saw Brock and the Excel series head to Barbagallo raceway, where he managed the qualify in P3, with the conditions still wet from earlier rainfall. In his first race of the day, McGregor ended at the top of the standings, and in race 2, made an impressive jump from P10 on the grid to second overall.
When it came to race 3, he was sitting in pole position, and led right up to the final 3 laps, before the leader collided with a back marker, which Brock luckily avoided. This left him in second place as the race was drawn to a premature close. The various successes of the day left him second place over the weekend. A good start to 2017 for the young driver.
