Homologation freeze for TCR

All ten models taking part in the TCR balance of performance test are now subjected to a three year homologation freeze.

In a bid to avoid spiralling costs, which is often the case in popular touring car rules sets, the organisers of many TCR championships around the world met at Adria during the BoP test to discuss the possibility of the situation.

All who attended agreed on the homologation freeze as well as a new one engine per season rule, similar to that employed by the World Touring Car Championship.

Although TCR regulations are a cheaper alternative to touring car racing than most championships the idea of the new rulings aim to keep it that way.
