YOUNG BRITISH SENSATION, LANDO NORRIS IS TO RACE IN THE FINAL ROUND OF THE FIA FORMULA 2 CHAMPIONSHIP WITH CAMPOS RACING!
Norris will replace Swiss rider Ralph Boschung for the final two races of the season under the lights of Abu Dhabi.
This news comes after Norris was confirmed as McLaren’s reserve driver replacing the veteran Jenson Button. There are rumors about that next year, Norris will compete in Formula 2 next year with ART and all of this will give Norris the experience for next year if he goes into Formula 2.
This year, Lando Norris was the youngest driver to win the FIA Formula 3 championship. As well as Abu Dhabi this weekend, the Brit will race in Macau this weekend as well as racing in the Daytona 24 hour race alongside Phil Hanson and Fernando Alonso.
“I’m really excited to be joining Campos Racing for Abu Dhabi and cannot wait to make my Formula 2 race debut with them. I’m looking forward to working closely with the team and hope that I can repay their faith in me as I make the next step up the motor racing ladder by running competitively in both races.”
Campos CEO, Adrian Campos said “I would like to give a warm welcome from the team to Lando. He is an incredibly talented young driver and I’m sure he will able to deliver a strong performance at Yas Marina Circuit despite it will be an ultimate challenge.”
