Could McLaren bring back the orange livery?

Heading into the 2017 season, McLaren have suggested that they will have a major overhaul of the livery for the forthcoming season. The British team have hinted that the team will resort to the historic orange livery that they have sported before.

Since the turn of the millennium, McLaren have used a silver and black livery but as the team begin a major restructuring, a change in the livery could spark an improvement in results. The British team have been struggling in the new hybrid era but with a host of new regulations everything could change.

Executive director Zak Brown, wants to bring back the orange livery to try revitalise the team and create success that has been missing since 2008.

McLaren have fuelled the rumours with their tweet that featured orange lettering, this has sparked the media to believe that McLaren will use the famous orange colours.

The last time McLaren used the orange livery was in 2006 for pre-season testing but the bright colours have yet to be seen since. Whether the car will be fully orange will yet to be seen but a change could bring victories to the Woking team.
