Team Penske’s rising star, Joseph Newgarden had a dominant victory at the Honda Indy 200 in Mid Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

Newgarden took his sixth career victory by holding off fellow Penske team mate and pole sitter, Will Power, by 5.1556 seconds after snatching the lead on Turn 4 on lap 15.

Ohio native, Graham Rahal rounds out the podium in 3rd, it was the fourth top five finish in Mid-Ohio for the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver. Reigning Champion Simon Pagenaud and Indy 500 winner, Takuma Sato finishing 4th and 5th respectively.

There was one caution flag, which came out on lap 67 when Ed Jones spun in turn 9, ruining Newgarden’s 10 second lead, however every car finished the race.
