Daniel Ricciardo believes that he and his Red Bull team have a good chance at winning the Hungarian Grand Prix, the scene of his second F1 win in 2014.
It’s been a very good season so far for Ricciardo. He has consistently been on the podium profiting from others’ mistakes and problems, with the highlight being a superb win at Baku. How he would like to continue this good form and take another win at Hungary.
The Red Bull man said, “Hungary 2014 was a cool victory, Of course I love winning but that was an awesome race.”
He could well make it a sixth race triumph on Sunday, with the Red Bull looking stronger and stronger as the season has progressed. Although they were a long way away at Silverstone, Ricciardo believes he has a shot at the win.
“We’ve got lots more grip this year so it’ll be a bit more fun,” suggested Ricciardo.
“The second sector is going to be amazing. That’s one of my favourite sectors in Formula 1,”.
He believes that there are 3 key overtaking spots, which will surely suit the racey Australian. “I’ve made some good moves in turn 1 in the past. turn 2 you can go inside or outside, as both lanes work and the hairpin is fun too.” he said.
